    1. The management is awful at this restaurant. I have never had to work so hard for so little money only to get treated poorly. The entire bar staff was treated with distrust and disrespect. We were not allowed to count our own tips without a manager present and the drawer was out of the question. There were no barbacks, so I had to do everything with my fellow bartender, showing up two hours earlier than everyone else, only to split my tips evenly with the rest of the floor, including runners, bussers AND managers(very overstaffed). It got to the point where we weren't even allowed to drink water behind the bar because they thought we were drinking alcohol(which we weren't). I would not encourage anyone to work here as a bartender unless you do it as a hobby, and even then be prepared. This is a terrible place to work management wise, but the people you work with are amazing. Oct. 16, 2006 - 15:38
    2. this restaurant has too many problems to list. for one, they illegally tip out of the server pool to managers, in order to prevent having to spend too much on salaries. a bunch of people went to the labor board in 2006 but nothing ever came of it. so many people have been fired from this place that its pretty much laughable. almost all of the opening captains and managers have been fired and so has the somelier. one manager was fired because the general manager nic was trying to avoid being caught for a severe cocaine problem. last name espiay. look it up. hte first gm thiery was the bomb but he was fired along with teh first matre d. the old wine directoer quit because the place was a JOKE and the new wine director is a dishonest asshole with a terrible reputation in the business. also his pants are to tight. and the current managment staff are all but mentally retarded. kelli one of the 'old school' managers is sleeping with one of the bartenders even though its supposedly in violation of company policy. too much drama for one house--dont work here.
